A selection of images taken during my residency at the Willa Cather Foundation 2019.
The overwhelming features of the Nebraskan countryside now in the original land of Willa Cather. You notice the endless, human height fields of corn, the source of wealth; the railroads – arterial routes for that wealth; the granaries – the cathedrals of the land symbolising the wealth creation; the remnants of prairie and banks of flowing grass so often described in Cather’s novels.
